About meI completed my undergraduate work at Augustana College in 2008. By 2010, I had received a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of South Dakota. For four years, I worked with a private practice in Sioux Falls. During this time, I worked in the in-home Birth-3 setting and also at a behavioral residential school. In 2014, I joined the team at Luverne Elementary School!
My passion has always been working with children. More importantly, giving children a way to communicate. Whether it is teaching a child to finally say the /s/ correctly, use a communication device, follow directions, understand nonverbal social cues, or sign their first word...knowing that I am helping a child communicate and that those skills will help them their whole life, is the reason I do what I do. |
